Students wishing to undertake full or part-time study have often been able to obtain Career Development Loans from the following banks: Barclays, the Co-operative, The Royal Bank of Scotland and Clydesdale. These loans are administered by the Department of Education and Employment and are used to support courses in a wide range of vocational areas.

Loans are available to cover up to 80% of the cost of tuition fees, and in the case of full time students, the full cost of books, materials, and other study-related expenses. The amount you can borrow varies between £300 and £8,000.
