Description

ESRC/SSRC Collaborative Visiting Fellowship

The Social Science Research Council (SSRC) The Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) offers fellowships for U.S. scholars to visit and engage in collaborative activities with members of ESRC-supported projects in Britain between May 2004 and April 2005. Approximately ten research fellowships of up to $7,500 (approx. £5000) will be awarded.

The Social Science Research Council is an independent, not-for-profit research organization dedicated to advancing knowledge and bringing research to bear on issues of critical social importance. It does so in the belief that a just and prosperous global society requires better understanding of complex processes of social, cultural, economic, and political change.

These new fellowships are part of a pilot project designed to encourage communication and cooperation between Great Britain and the United States, and to explore and develop possibilities for future exchanges to be organized by the ESRC and the SSRC.
