Churches Commission for International Students

 | Description |

Description

Assistance is only given to students who are currently enrolled on a programme of study, and not to prospective students.

This Hardship Fund was sent up in 1990 by the Churches to assist international students, irrespective of their race, sex or religion, who face unexpected financial problems during the final stages of their degree course. Awards are normally made to those who can clearly show that a small grant will enable them to complete their course, normally those who are within six months of finishing.

Potential candidates should contact:

Mr David Philpot
Grants Secretary
CCIS Hardship Fund
121 George Street
Edinburgh
EH2 4YN.

Please note that decisions on grants are made three times a year, normally in March, June, September and December.

You are unlikely to be considered for such an award if you are i) a permanent resident of the UK, EU or other developed countries; ii) an asylum seeker or refugee; iii) already financed by a major award.
