Recipient Announced!The School of Education's Post Compulsory Education and Training Research Centre was pleased to present the EPI Scholarship for 2007 to Debi Carter.

This scholarship is open to graduates of the School of Education BA in Education and Training (PCET) applying for the Masters Degree in Educational Practice and Innovation (EPI). The scholarship is aimed at supporting excellence demonstrated at undergraduate level and thereby promoting excellence in post-graduate research in Post-Compulsory Education and Training (PCET). These two programmes best reflect the themes, interests and ethos of the Post-Compulsory Education and Training Research Centre in the School of Education. It is hoped that scholars would eventually progress to doctoral level study in the School.

The scholarship will fund 50% of the tuition fees in both Year One and Year Two of the Masters programme subject to a review of progress at the end of Year One.

The letter (not exceeding 1000 words) should provide a summary of your education and training experience and present evidence of grades achieved on the BA in education and training. We would like you to outline your central research interests and to identify a topic that you would like to pursue in your Masters dissertation. Could you please also enclose a short CV and nominate a referee.

Deadline

Applications should be received by 30 June and will be considered by a panel of academic representatives of the Post-Compulsory Education and Training Research Centre, the BA PCE and the Masters in Educational Practice and Innovation. The scholarship will normally be awarded by 31 July and in time for the programme start in October.
