Biography
Ghazala Bhatti is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Education. She joined the University of Southampton in 2007 from the Institute of Education, University of Reading where she worked for a decade. Prior to that she was a lecturer at the School of Education, Open University. She has held a prestigious Research Fellowship at the Department of Educational Studies, University of Oxford. Ghazala has been invited to teach doctoral students and conduct collaborative research with colleagues in universities in the United States, Italy and Hungary. In 1996 she co- founded (with Joanna McPake) the Social Justice and Intercultural Education Network for ECER (European Conference for Educational Research). Currently the network is jointly convened with colleagues from the Netherlands, Italy and UK.
