Teaching and Learning ICT in Secondary Schools
Biography
Louise studied at Homerton College, University of Cambridge and qualified as a teacher in 1997. She then taught for over 10 years in the Bournemouth area. During this time, Louise was a Primary School teacher, ICT coordinator and a Curriculum Mentor for primary trainees. After four years, Louise moved into secondary education becoming Head of ICT, Lead Learner for ICT and Design and Technology and a Curriculum Mentor.
Louise now teaches on the Secondary IT PGCE course. Currently, she supports the teaching, mentoring, monitoring and assessing of PGCE IT trainees. Louise also makes contributions to the GTP programme. In addition, Louise is an Internal Assessor and Visiting Tutor for BPDE SCITT and is also a GTP Visiting Tutor and Lecturer for the Dorset Teacher Education Partnership.
Louise provides education consultancy support for Bournemouth LA and also provides support for Secondary and Primary School ICT departments. For Bournemouth LA, she leads new developments for the National Strategies, including Functional Skills and APP. Louise is also a moderator for the OCR Nationals in ICT.
