Biography

Louise Toone was educated at the Universities of Leicester and Greenwich and the Open University. Initially she taught English as a Foreign Language in inner-city settings which was followed by a spell of working as a Training Consultant for Investors in Industry in Newcastle-upon –Tyne where she taught unemployed teenagers and adults. This acted as a springboard for a career in further education where Louise taught IT and management modules on a wide range of programmes before moving into teacher-training and the role of Advanced Practitioner at Chichester College. More recently Louise managed a Gifted and Talented provision at a local sixth form College while concurrently teaching A. level Critical Thinking and A. level History.

Louise is currently developing research interests in humanistic approaches to teacher-training, building on her previous training and experience in counselling skills and personal development.
