Biography
Pam is a Senior Research Assistant in the School of Education at the University of Southampton and she is also responsible for course evaluation and market research for the Science Learning Centre South East. Recent project work includes evaluation of the pilot Twenty-First Century Science GCSE. She is currently doing a PhD on 'Decision-making and belief systems: the teacher-student interaction' which focuses on the teaching of the origin of life in secondary school science and RE classrooms. Before working in academia, Pam was involved in market, social and media research in a variety of organisations including the Co-operative Wholesale Society, the British Board of Film Classification and the Independent Television Commission. She has also worked as a journalist on Which? magazine.
